Pennies per Mile

It's ridiculously expensive and therefore not worth actually buying, but it's exciting to see how technical innovation, and the market, will drive us to pursue technology that helps us all have less of an impact on Mother Earth. Maybe once they start making and selling more of them the Vectrix (or the Japanese/Korean/Chinese competition that is sure to follow) will be a real option to the more traditional and messy petro-chemical powered engines we have all become addicted to. Seems like they did their first public test drives this week in San Francisco, where else!

I'll never buy anything that doesn't have a roof and have room for passengers of the kid variety (even for commuting - gotta pick the kids up on the way home!). I'd love to have a real alternative, but it just isn't there yet...
