This Icelandic volcano had been dormant since 1821 and without much warning it just erupted! Fortunately, it's in a lightly populated area although I'm not sure the few people that live near the eruption site feel that way. Of course the evacuations have started due to the risk of floods and mudslides off the glaciar.
