I love TripIt's simplicity and its email awesomesauce.
Oracle is a heavily-embedded email culture, so we struggle to find ways to join the social 2.0 goodness with 1.0 email.
I push TripIt and other tools like Sandy as ways to make email work for you and uptake is rising. Too bad TripIt doesn't support our internal travel site yet.
Boris is spot on about forgotten technologies. They're not really forgotten, just not as cool as rounded buttons.Jakehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15661151740067801922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4614694392434779458.post-81552531877869620602008-05-02T16:33:00.000-07:002008-05-02T16:33:00.000-07:002008-05-02T16:33:00.000-07:00Hah! It's not an accident that these technologies have such staying power despite their imperfections. They are genuinely useful and they are widely supported. FTP/ICQ, who knows? ;-)Andy Denmarkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12309610731557645322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4614694392434779458.post-85280762482567633062008-05-02T11:43:00.000-07:002008-05-02T11:43:00.000-07:002008-05-02T11:43:00.000-07:00Thanks for the insights! eMail is here to stay and...Thanks for the insights! eMail is here to stay and I can't wait what the future is going to look like. What other 'forgotten' technologies can we resurrect? FTP as a user interface? ICQ as a new emailplatform? What else?Boris Veldhuijzen van Zantenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01642427939576640595noreply@blogger.com
